Peer Support Volunteers
If you have had a baby in neonatal care and are interested in joining our peer support volunteer team in Manchester we would love to hear from you.
We do ask that your baby has been discharged from neonatal care for at least one year on application. This gives you time to enjoy your baby and allows you space to reflect on your own journey. We ask you to commit to two hours a week on the neonatal unit. In return we will provide you with full training. You will also have monthly supervisions with our volunteer coordinator. As well as opportunities to get involved in improving neonatal care and family engagement. Have a read through what is involved in the Peer Support Role Spec
Becoming a trustee is not only good for your CV but it also one of the most rewarding things you can do. It means you can do something worthwhile without having to commit lots of your time. You will be working with a passionate team of people and will have the opportunity to use your skills and experience to ensure the charity meets it’s aims. We currently a small but dynamic board of trustees but would like to expand on this to take the charity to it’s potential. If you have skills and experiences which you feel would be transferable to our board of trustees please get in touch.
